What is Salvia Divinorum?

Salvia Divinorum is a plant of the Lip flower family. The plant is related to the common sage. Salvia plants grow everywhere, also just in the backyard in The Netherlands. However, the Salvia Divinorum does not; this variety does not grow in the wild and originally comes from Mexico. Salvia Divinorum has been used for centuries already by the shamans of the Mazatek Indians in the south of Mexico to consult the super mundane.

Because of its special effects, Salvia Divinorum is also used as a recreational drug. With the use of Salvia Divinorum a short but heavy hallucinating trip is experienced. The primary active substance causing this is Salvinorin-A.

Salvia Divinorum is available in different intensities. It is available in an unprocessed form, so just as dried leafs, but Salvia Divinorum is also available as an Extract of 5x 10x or 20x.

No indications exist that Salvia Divinorum would be physically or mentally addictive. However, we advise against a frequent use. Salvia Divinorum can, just like other means, become a habit which results to be difficult to leave.
